Because Parents and Alumni Day is a large event, we are looking for volunteers to help us with various tasks during the day. If your parents are planning on attending, you can still help! We would only ask for you to help for a short period of time. To volunteer, please sign up in the Honors Office or email Sean Okumura at sokumura@uci.edu.
Volleyball Game Organizers- a few people to help distribute the volleyball game tickets on Friday night and be the contacts for meeting at the Bren
Parking Directors- a few students to welcome and help direct parents and alumni from the parking structure to Student Services II and the Locus
Check-in/lunch distribution- a few students who could check-in parents and alumni (nametags) and facilitate lunch distribution. Also could help with set-up/clean-up
Guides/Directors- a few students who could help guide parents/alumni to their next destination and stay behind a few minutes for any stragglers in transition
Musicians/Performers- a few students (2-3) who wouldn't mind performing in the student center terrace to provide light entertainment during lunch
Tour Guides- Ben Gillig and Liz Seward have graciously volunteered their Campus Rep services to this cause
NAR Activity Staff- a few students to help plan/run the NAR activity
Afternoon Sports Activity- Troy Campbell is leading these efforts, but if you want to help, let us know.
Dance Visions Organizers- a few people to help distribute Dance Visions tickets on Saturday afternoon and be the contacts for meeting at the Barclay
T-shirt handout/HED signup- a few people to hand out t-shirts at the end of the event and solicit HED participation from parents/students/alumni. Also could help with set-up/clean-up
If your parents are planning to attend, we hope you will attend as well. But you can also attend without your parents! Please sign-up or confirm you are in the Honors Office by Friday, January 18 (Week 2).
