Mary Joy is the Greek InterVarsity Intern Staff. Mary Joy assists in helping fraternity and sorority members deepen their relationship with God. She leads Bible studies, gives talks, and she meets regularly with students to discuss spiritual needs or issues. She also plans social gatherings and coordinates summer mission trips. Mary Joy graduated in 2005 from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Political Science. She was highly involved in all spheres as an undergraduate. Phi Beta, Panhellenic Press Editor, the Panhellenic Association as an executive board officer, and Greek InterVarsity leader. As an undergraduate, she helped bring awareness to Pilipino issues on campus by arranging non-violent demonstrations and campaigns. Mary Joy also helped pioneer Greek InterVarsity at UC Irvine, bringing such organization to the West Coast. Currently, Mary Joy works full time as the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at Olive Crest, a non-profit organization providing homes and services for abused children. |
