Mission Statement

The mission statement outlines the purpose that the organization was established to serve. The mission statement is the backbone of our organization. It is our task to uphold and breathe life into this mission through our events, programs, and actions.

Korean Pre-Health Association (KHA) was established in 1986 mainly for, but not restricted to, pre-health students at the University of California, Irvine in order to serve the following purposes:

  1. Enhance the students’ awareness of the diversity of health-related education and career opportunities in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, and so forth.
  2. Offer assistance and consultation to students regarding their future health-related education/career goals.
  3. Enable pre-med, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, and pre-optometry students to help one another reach their education/career goals through various academic and emotional support.
  4. Assist students in achieving successful academic endeavors in undergraduate studies.
  5. Encourage peer counseling and tutoring among students.
  6. Enable students to meet one another.

Although KHA concentrates on the members’ academic concerns, it also provides opportunities for them to develop lifelong friend.
