LTAG RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

1. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT

2. NO COVERING RECEIVER DOME
- Covering the sensor with your body (torso mainly) or tilting the top of the gun away from opponents is allowed. Blatant covering of the receiver dome with a hand over it, it tucked in your armpit or between your legs while advancing is strictly prohibited. Also, as a general rule the person you are firing at must always be able to see your sensor.

3. THE TAGGER MUST ALWAYS BE IN PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH THE PLAYER WHO IS USING IT DURING A GAME.

4. IF A FOOT TOUCHES THE GROUND OUTSIDE OF THE DESIGNATED PLAYING AREA, YOU ARE OUT OF BOUNDS.

5. IF A PLAYER RESETS THE GUN OR ENDS THE GAME BEFORE THE SPECIFIED OR AGREED UPON TIME THEY AND THEIR TEAM FORFEIT THE GAME.

6. IF YOUR EQUIPMENT FAILS (WHICH SADLY OCCASIONALLY HAPPENS) YOU WILL BE OUT OF THE GAME.

7. IF YOU HAVE BEEN "TAGGED OUT" (OR DEAD/GAME OVER) YOU MUST HOLD UP YOUR GUN ABOVE YOUR HEAD AND MAKE A SOUND RESEMBLING A LOUD DYING DUCK AND RETURN TO THE BASE.

8. NO FEIGNING DEATH.

9. PLAYERS ALREADY "TAGGED OUT" NEED TO TRY TO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE GAME AND MAINTAIN THEIR POSITION AT THE BASE. IF THERE IS FIRE EXCHANGE AROUND THE BASE TRY YOUR BEST TO AVOID GETTING IN THE WAY.

10. THE TMB ROCKET SHOULD NEVER BE FIRED AT PEOPLE. ONLY ADJACENT TO THEM.

11. LAUNCHED TMB ROCKETS ARE FREE FOR ANYONE TO PICK UP
- yes, you’ll have to risk your rocket in the hands of other people.

12. LTAG IS A TEAM SPORT
- Unless you are playing free-for-all or want to demonstrate your PWNAGE of Everyone else.

13. LTAG IS FOR FUN
- If you are not having fun you or if you become enraged and violent, you will be asked to leave.

14. OBEY AUTHORITY
- If a police officer approaches put down the guns immediately and follow any of their instructions. Never have multiple people approach the officer.

15. RESPECT BYSTANDERS
- We usually don’t restrict our playing area so that bystanders cannot enter. Please treat them with respect and be careful not to alarm them with your big guns.

16. RESPECT THE AREA YOU ARE PLAYING IN
-Do not deface, vandalize or do anything stupid or illegal to or around the property we are playing on. We had to jump through hoops to even be allowed to play on University grounds.
-Don’t climb on roofs or access areas that are usually off limits to students.
-Throw trash in trash cans.
- Use your common sense.

17. IF AN INJURY OCCURS THE GAME IS OVER AND THE INJURED IS ASSISTED.

18. IF YOU ARE BORROWING EQUIPMENT TREAT IT AS IF IT WERE YOUR OWN.

19. DO NOT STORE PLACE THE TAGGER ON THE GROUND WITH THE MISSILE POINTED DOWNWARD.

20. WE WILL LIKE YOU BETTER IF YOU EVENTUALLY PURCHASE YOUR OWN GEAR
- Membership fees don’t really cover anything except for perhaps the annual fee UCI charges clubs. It cost money to provide guns and to maintain them. Money which many of us have put down as donation, but don’t expect that to support the growth of the club.
- There are benefits to purchasing your own gear. 1)If you drop it no one will get upset at you. 2)You can modify it – put a scope or better sights on it, paint it, name it, put a different sound board on it, increase the range, mount a walkie talkie, add a headphone jack, a sling, throw it out your car window – the possibilities are endless. And some people even choose to buy more than one!
- You will know how to operate the equipment better if you have a working gun and instruction manual side by side so that you can use it to it greatest potential. The guns we use are pretty intricate and there are little details that help greatly during game-play.
