a volunteer organization that provides
academic assistance to young children
in the Santa Ana School District.Our
organization first started in the Spring of ' 92
by a few UCI students who carpooled everyweek to Diamond Elementary. Their purpose was to help those kids with their homework and to motivate them to do
well in school. As Share continued its services, many tutors became good friends or best buddies with their tutees. What began as a small group of individuals has now grown into a club that specializes in helping these kids, getting to know them, and making a world of difference. We also offer university credit to those who are interested. As an organization, we hold fund-raisers and social events to get to know each other and to share our tutoring experiences.
