We are the swing club @ UCI, also known as the UCI Jitterbugs. The swing club is a dancing club where people of all ages and ability levels congregate to practice, learn new moves, and socialize. We offer lessons at our meetings for people of all dancing levels ranging from your first time dancer to someone who has been dancing for years. Our teachers are excellent and well versed in the ways of the dance. No partners are required, and everyone is invited to come and join us!
Lessons are held at our meetings every week of the quarter in HICF 100A in the Humanities Trailers on the UCI campus. Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced level lessons in swing dancing will be offered. The lessons are free! Workshops will periodically be offered in Lindy hop, Balboa, Shag and other swing related dances throughout the year and will include classes for various dancing levels. Monthly outings are also available to take advantage of, and our website is constantly being updated so check back for the most current information about upcoming events.
Come join us! Learn to swing dance, meet new friends, and have a great time listening and dancing to good music!
